Comment: 30 years? Can't be... well, maybe. I've had time to marry 6 times and build the 69th fastest growing company in America and sell it for a considerable profit! I guess that could take 30 years! I was married to Ken Cameron and pregnant when we graduated. My daughter turns 30 this August. Ok, I'll step out of the denial phase and admit it.. 30 years jeesh! I'm looking for something fun to do as a new work project, retirement is pretty boring when you're as young as we are. If anyone needs a partner or consultant on a project, give me a call! I'll look at everything! |

Comment: Greetings, Living in Santa Barbara for a year as a postdoctoral associate at the University of California is pretty trippy. For those of you who have been here, you know that the climate, town, and accommodations are incredibly benign, comfortable, and beautiful. Consequently, it attracts a diverse population who generally seem prone to THEATER, from the amazingly eccentric street people and street musicians of varying skill levels to the incredibly wealthy who outfit their poodles with pink booties. My husband, Jim and I love it! He is a waterfowl ecologist on sabbatical here from the University of Wyoming. Life is particularly sweet knowing that our move is not permanent and we will soon be back in Laramie where we have been for the past 15 years. Here in California, I am developing predictive models of how warming climate, increasing ultraviolet radiation and metals contamination in the Colorado Rockies (where the photo was taken) work together, sometimes synergistically, to impact stream bugs, which provide foods for good trout fishing. In addition, I have a laboratory project finishing up in Wyoming that will help establish water quality criteria for selenium in the Great Salt Lake. In May, Jim and I will be going out to just south of the Strait in the Bering Sea on a U.S. Coast Guard ice breaker to study how climate change is affecting the food chains that impact sea birds and marine mammals. We are really excited about this event! Watching our kids make the transition from children to adults, who are becoming good friends with us and with each other, has certainly been rewarding after the teen-age years (Whew! ghastly times aren’t they?). Whit, our son is frantically engaged in going to college full-time in engineering while he and his wife Andrea raise a 4-year and 4-month-old, who are such lovely little people. Megin, our oldest daughter has just been accepted into graduate school in architecture and is getting married this summer. So, we are hot on the trail of the most beautiful dress ever and debating over invitations. Maura, our youngest is the one we could write the book about—many of you know what I mean. But, she’s going to college and working nearly full-time while sustaining as much drama as possible. Voicemail: “Mom, I am sure I just found a human bone in our yard. Call me right away!” Well, we bought surfboards last week but haven’t had the “time” (read “moxie”) to go surfing yet, but that’s next on the list. Best wishes to all, Marj Brooks |

Comment: I still live in Cheyenne. My kids went to Central so I had to change my colors to red & black for a few years. Looking forward to the reunion & seeing those I know & those I didn't know back in the day but want to know better now. I married Dennis Brown (a central guy) and we have a landscaping business in Cheyenne. |

Comment: I am excited to say that I found love again, and was married in 2025 to my best friend, Kevin Byrne. Three of my six grandchildren have graduated from high school, and I have added three new grandkids with their respective boyfriends and girlfriends. I am LOVING retirement, and spend my winters in Arizona, and my summers in Wyoming. I am truly living the dream! |
